Hello Friends,
You've seen me talk in this column about how expensive medical care is in America. It is why we do the benefit for the National Foundation for Transplants, to help people with the crippling expense of getting a transplant.
It is also why sometimes in this column I have spoken of people in the local scene that have medical expenses piling up and need help.
Local musician and artist, Jenny Jaybles, is currently undergoing cancer treatments, and could use some help. Whether you know her from her old band Wet Wolf, or from her artwork (she did the cover for the 2023 Banding Together compilation), or you don't know her at all, if you can help with her medical expenses she would greatly appreciate it.

It would be nice to live in a country where insurance fully covered necessary medical procedures so that people going through a terrible situation didn't have it exacerbated by trying to figure out how to pay for it... but we are an imperfect country... full of good people that can make a difference by donating what they can.
