Many of you have noticed that since Elon Musk took over Twitter we've posted only updates of what is new on BlowUpRadio.com, and removed links to our Twitter on BlowupRadio.com.
Watching what he has done, to admittedly an already toxic site, has made it so much worse.
And this week labelling some pages as "State Affiliated", and then changing it to "Government Funded", was the final straw for us. As many have pointed out, Tesla and Space-X have both taken government funding, but do not have that labelling... I wonder why...
Watching Elon continually do, and undo, things, and all around act like a spoiled brat who wants to get his way based on whatever crazy whim he has on any given day, is tiring. It is no way to run a business, and while we will certainly take a hit in awareness by no longer posting on Twitter, I think we are doing the right thing (though reserve the right to change my mind at a future date).
I also hope you will continue to spread the word about what we are doing here at BlowUpRadio.com.
Twitter was never our priority. You can't listen to our station on Twitter, and most of our posts are direct links to things on BlowUpRadio.com (or our column on NewJerseyStage.com).
We are on mastodon though (https://mstdn.social/@BlowUpRadio), which for the moment is not a toxic social media site... I think I said that about Twitter 14 years ago, to the month, when we joined it... so see what I think of Mastodon 14 years from now... or sooner... we were on MySpace in their early days.
So know that even though we're not going to be utilizing Twitter, BlowUpRadio.com is still here and very active.
