Lazlo's Corner

As many of you already know, my life is full of stress and, at times anxiety. Taking care of my mother in law (who has alheimers/dementia) and having to do more for my wife this year as her spondylitis condition has gotten worse, on top of having a day job, takes its toll.

Add in running planning this year's Banding Together Benefit Webathon For The Spondylitis Association of America, and I often wonder how I have time to juggle it all.

I probably don't, and that is why I am sometimes very slow to reply to e-mail lately, which I do apologize for.

There are very few things that give me true joy in life. being with my wife does, and being able to help her & her mom, even while it can cause stress, brings me joy because I am able to help them.

It is the same reason I do Banding Together every October, and other benefits throughout the year. If I can help raise some money & awareness for a good cause, then I know I am doing something to make the world a better place, and isn't that what we should all be striving for?

The other thing that brings me joy, which I would hope is pretty obvious, is doing

As I close in on doing this site and station for 22 years (in December) I continue to think how lucky I am to be able to do this and shine a spotlight on all of these amazingly talented musicians who deserve a far bigger audience than I can offer, and hopefully they will one day achieve that.

I have been fortunate to get to know so many of you over the years, and I am happy to call so many of you friends.

As stressful as my life is, I know I am lucky. There are so many less fortunate than me. I think about that often when stress & anxiety rears its ugly head. As anyone dealing with stress & anxiety knows, it doesn't always make you feel better, but it is a good reality check.

So this week's corner has kind of rambled a little, but there are two key points I wanted to get out.

1. Thank you all so much for continuing to be part of the journey that is

2. and I hope you will all be listening (and donating) to Banding Together Benefit Webathon For The Spondylitis Association of America next month. More info on the webathon is here:
