Thank You!
The outpouring of well wishes on BlowUpRadio.com's 21st anniversary this past Wednesday was extremely heartening.
People often ask me the secret to doing something for this long without making a profit (never tried to) or building a massive audience. I usually say something about this being my passion in life and I can't imagine not doing it. Which is true, but not the whole story.
Like most everyone, I get down sometimes, burned out, feeling like I'm not reaching anyone or helping to #SupportGoodMusic as much as I wish I could with BlowUpRadio.com, but I regularly get positive feedback and thank you messages from artists who we play, and that truly does mean a lot. It is hard to feel down about not reaching thousands of people daily, when you know even reaching a small number of people a day matters a lot to a small number of people.
I wish I had time to send e-mails to every musician we play each week thanking them for the awesome music they make, that I am so happy to be able to play and put a small spotlight on, but know that your music is important to me, means a lot to me, and makes my life better for having it to listen to.
