Lazlo's Corner

I had my Lazlo's Corner all written for this week, planning to talk more about Rock Against Hate Vol. 3, and then I saw the horrible news...

Joe Harvard, a mainstay of the Asbury Park music scene (and a legend for being the co-founder of Fort Apache Studios in Boston in the 90's), has lost his battle with cancer.

In recent years I made it out less to see him play in Asbury Park, and spoke to him less, but he was always there when I was putting a benefit together, and was an all around nice guy. I know we all say nice things about people when they pass, but I honestly can't think of one negative interaction I ever had with him.

I've been so busy dealing with family stuff in my ow life lately, I didn't even know of his cancer diagnosis until this week, and I feel awful about that.

I want to say more about Joe, and relate some other stories, but right now I am such shock I don't even know what to say.

RIP Joe Harvard. We will all miss you.
