BlowUpRadio.com's New Year's Eve Broadcast is going to be bigger and better than ever!
As we've done for several years now, we will be broadcasting live from our Den studio beginning at noon on December 31st, with numerous musicians performing live on air. We will also be talking about resolutions and other things, as well as playing some fun tunes to ring in the new year!
And this year I am proud to announce that our New Year's Eve Broadcast will also be a benefit for an amazing NJ organization, Caring Contact.
Each year approximately 45,000 people die by suicide in the United States – 120 people each day; one person every 12 minutes. Caring Contact is an award-winning, volunteer-staffed crisis hotline and listening community founded in 1975. We provide active listening support and best-in-class education to central and northern New Jersey. Caring Contact attentively and compassionately serves those in emotional distress and educates our communities about the power of personal connection. We are certified by the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline to be a primary responder in New Jersey to the Lifeline. Our hotline services are available to anyone, anonymously and confidentially, 365 days a year. More than 100 volunteers staff our lines and in 2017 they responded to over 10,000 calls.
