Lazlo's Corner

This weekend marked the one year anniversary of the release of Rock Against Hate ( a benefit compilation for Planned Parenthood and The Trevor Project. I sent out a tweet to mark the occasion and pointed out that sadly the need to raise money for these, & other worthy causes, has increased in the last year, and that work will begin soon on "Rock Against Hate 2". Almost immediately several people reached out to me with songs to include on this compilation, so I'm going to start putting this together now, with plans to release in a few months. If anyone has a protest song (preferably previously unreleased), get in touch with me. together we can help raise a lot more money for two worthy causes.

As you can see above, the January New Music Sampler is now available for free (just enter $0 into the Pay What You Want field). Download it here:

If you like what you hear on it, please purchase music from the artist's websites.

I managed to convince my friend Art to write up some more reviews (in spite of him hating, the admittedly silly title, that I gave his review column). you can read them on If you like (or hate) his reviews, let me know.

Since our basement has been set up in our new home with this gorgeous L shaped couch, I have dreamed of recording a talk show with several musicians siting around talking about music and other things. I'm finally close to making this happen. The hope is to record our first episode next month, broadcast it on, and maybe also make it available as a podcast. Stay tuned!
