Six months ago I started planning BANDING TOGETHER: A BENEFIT FOR THE SPONDYLITIS ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA, and this Saturday the live show part of it will finally happen.

I’m not sure if you can understand how important this cause is to me. My wife suffers from ankylosing spondylitis, and I have seen the debilitating effects of this disease on a daily basis. You can learn more about the disease and the Spondylitis Association of America at www.spondylitis.org.

But you shouldn’t just come down to Buddie’s Tavern (277 Johnsons Ln., Parlin (Sayreville), NJ) because of how important it is to me, you should also come down because we have 4 great acts playing, The Tea & Whiskey (featuring Scruff of Kohuff/The Vacationers fame) (first performance ever), The Comrades (first performance in a long time), Logs In The Mainstream (one of their first shows in several years), and a rare solo performance from Frank Bressi of The Chilling Details.

The show starts at 9pm sharp, and there is a $10 suggested donation (yes, you don’t have to pay it, but remember all the money is going straight to the Spondylitis Association Of America).

It would be great to see you there!

And then of course next weekend is the big 48 webathon portion of BANDING TOGETHER: A BENEFIT FOR THE SPONDYLITIS ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA, broadcasting live on BlowUpRadio.com, ThePenguinRocks.com, and DrainoRadio.com, featuring over 50 bands, including a special live set from Miles Hunt & Erica Nockalls of the Wonder Stuff, and Wayne Hussey of The Mission UK, Brian Vander Ark (The Verve Pipe), Paul Sanchez (Cowboy Mouth), and many other bands.

Please come out to see a great show, and help raise money to find a cure for a condition my wife suffers from.

THE ANDERSON COUNCIL, Fire From The Altar, Swashbuckle - Court Tavern, 124 Church St. New Brunswick - 9 pm, $6, 21+

The post-Mod psychedelic sounds of the Anderson Council always make for a fun evening, especially back in their home base at the venerable Court Tavern.

And now it's time for this week's Pissed Off!

Sorry folks. Way too busy working on Banding Together to write a coherent Pissed Off! This week.

But if I don’t see a lot of people at Buddie’s Tavern on Saturday, I think I know what my Pissed Off! Will be next week ;)

That's all for this week folks.

Peace,
Lazlo
