2. MESSAGE FROM LAZLO

As you can see above BlowUpRadio.com has a couple of big shows going down this week.

First up is the return of BlowUpRadio.com Presents FOLK YOU! happening this Wednesday @ 9pm sharp at
Rodeo Ristra
230 Washington St, Hoboken, NJ (201)216-1550
*****THIS IS A FREE SHOW*****

Featuring
Debra DeSalvo ~ A notable guitarist for her work with the False Prophets & Plastique, she now leads her own band with music ranging from sonic rock to sensitive ballads. She'll be playing acoustic versions of songs from her forthcoming EP.

Joe Whyte ~ Somewhere between a sonic boom and the sound of your pulse lies his music. Joe strives to create poignant textured music that makes you think, makes you feel and makes you scream for more.

Chris Pierson ~ Former leader of the Angry Monsters & Velour 44, recently put out his first solo demo of gripping and emotional acoustic music. Check Chris out in a rare live performance.

Gottstein und Buchbinder (from SSRi) ~ Speaking of rare, we convinced SSRi's lead singer, John Gottstein, and guitarist, Kevin Buchbinder, to step away from their usual alternative power-pop music and show their more stripped down (and I don't mean "bare-ass naked") side. This will certainly be a performance not be missed (as it may be a one shot performance for them).

Then this Friday at 9:30 we invite you to come down to the
Broadway Central Cafe
114 Broadway, South Amboy, NJ (732)721-2059
Only $5 cover

Featuring music by:
Michelle Vecchione ~ One of the truly great blues voices to come out of the Garden State. Her vocals brings to mind classic blues and jazz greats while having a sound uniquely her own. You must see her in this solo acoustic performance to truly know what I mean.

The Atom Beat ~ A tragic loss to the local music scene happened earlier this year when The Atom Beat played their last show as a full band. But not to worry, they still pack the same punk meets rockabilly energy into their performance as a duo. And the Atom Beat is fronted by the Blitzkrieg Bonanza's own, Jim Cook.

Stone Soup ~ Their bio says that, "They're sexy. They're smart. They're slightly unbalanced." Maybe so, but they're also a little bit funk, a little bit blues, and a whole lot of rock.

Check out both of these shows as you will not be disappointed.
