So how about the Asbury Music Awards this week? Talk about a fun event, and a great opportunity for me to meet many of you. It was an honor being there presenting the Top Pop Band award. Thanks have to go out to everyone that makes this award show possible every year, people like Scott Stamper and Adam Weisberg from the Saint and the Asbury Music Co., Inc., Dominick Santana and the staff of the Stone Pony, and everyone else who works so hard every year to bring the local music scene together.
Remember to check out Artist Amplification's new and improved website at www.artistamplification.com. Andy Gessner's organiztion does a lot to promote the local music scene by putting out free CD's with local artists on it and putting on a plethora of concerts. They are currently hard at work on a 3 CD compiliation of area artists for release later this year. There will be a lot of cool collaborations between blowupradio.com and Artist Amplification in the coming months. And make sure you check out Andy reuniting with his former bandmates in Spiral Jetty for a show on the 24th at the Court Tavern in New Brunswick.
Just a reminder that if you have any music, poetry or anything else for blowupradio.com, you can always E-mail me at lazlo@blowupradio.com, or talk to me on the AOL Instant Messenger (my username is "blowupradio"). And thanks to "Lazlo's Fan" who posted a question on blowupradio.com's Message Board for me this week. I hope my answer was satisfactory. Enjoy the Message Board folks, and keep an eye on it for information on blowupradio.com's first contest, which will be posted there soon.
